NOKIA Releases Android Phones, Is this a comeback for the brand?

Nokia recently announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the release of her 3 Android powered smartphones under the Nokia X series. Analysts are beginning to say that this long awaited move might be a comeback for the Nokia brand.

It is interesting to note that few years ago especially in emerging markets like Nigeria, the Nokia brand of mobile phones was widely known and even synonymous to GSM. The highly engineered Nokia phones with high quality, great battery life and its long lasting ability used to be a leading mobile phone brand. Today the story is different in the mobile ecosystem in Nigeria where you have other brands like Tecno, Samsung taking leadership of the market.

One visible thing even on the social media is the excitement this news is generating already, will this bring back the loyal customers of the Nokia brand? This is something we are watching closely as things unfold in coming weeks. We also gathered that these Nokia android phones will be launched in Nigeria before the end of March.
