Edunet Africa Conference 2011 will be an event to explore the opportunities for Young Africans at the 2011 World Summit Youth Award (WSYA).
WYSA is an annual award and a network for young people using the internet, mobile phones or other digital media to put the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) into action. The MDGs were set in 2000 by the UN to prompt member states and civil society to fight poverty, hunger and disease, inequalities, lack of education and environmental degradation. The award promotes best practices in e-content and new media.
You could recall that last year two Nigerians –Mr. Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu and Mr. Dotun Adewunmi. won the awards, in a press release made available to us by Nkem Uwaje who is on the board of the awards, she said “As we raise the awareness for this year’s awards and bring such opportunities to Young Nigerians, I expert more Nigerians to be part of this year’s WSYA and win, she will be speaking at the EduNet Africa Conference to give more insight on the awards.
