The Process at a glance
-Innovative Tech producers from the 6 Geo-political zones of Nigeria expected to register their interest and product for Nigeria’s National Pre-Selection Contest for the UN World Summit Award, WSA 2013 till June 30th, 2013 after which Nigeria’s best innovative producers will have emerged across the 8 categories for onward registration in the WSA global contest database by the National Expert for Nigeria-Mr Amos Emmanuel.
According to Mr Amos, after the national selection, The jury evaluation will be done in 2 rounds: The first evaluation round will be conducted online and will end with a short list of around 15 products by category. For the only jury it is very important that producers provide videos to demonstrate the value of their product. All producers will get the recommendation to share a short video. For the 2nd Round and decision of 5 winners/ WSA category: The Grand Jury meeting will take place from Aug 29-31 in Tallinn, Estonia. A group of international jury members will decide in a democratic and open discussion on the 5 WSA winners/ category. The 40 Winners will be invited to the WSA Winners events, Oct 24-26, Sri Lanka.
