Mark Zuckerberg Invests $3 Billion to Scientific Research to Cure and Prevent Diseases in Children


Mark Zuckerberg,the CEO and  Co-Founder of Facebook with his wife Priscilla through their philanthropic organisation-  Chan Zuckerberg Initiative announced today the setting up of Chan Zuckerberg Science which is a partnership that connects software engineers,physicists,scientists,researchers together to collaborate,share data,build tools to help cure,prevent and manage all diseases in children.They made a donation of 3 billion dollars towards this initiative which is led by  Dr. Cori Bargmann, a world-renowned expert in neuroscience and genetics.

Their first initiative is called the BioHub a partnership between University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) in a new biomedical science research.
